Board Games at Davanni's Golden Valley

***** Note Time & Venue Change *****

What's better on a cold winter's day than hot pizza and hoagies, cold drinks, and board games? This is a family friendly event.

Please join us for some fun and games! I have a bunch of traditional board and card games that I'll bring along. Please also bring your own board, card, Euro, or fantasy games and be sure they're labeled if you intend to share. Any games placed on the sign-in table are available for others to use. If you'd like to use a game you see somewhere else, please ask the owner first.

Davanni's does not charge for the room but we do ask that every guest plan to spend at least $5 in food and beverages.

Nice to meet a few new folks as well as the starting-to-be-familiar faces.

    1) I had a very enjoyable time getting to know people and learning some new games. 2) Gave an update about progress on our 1st Assembly and got some great ideas. 3) "X is doing his/her best" was a smash hit!

Thanks peoples my apologizes to the two people who wanted to play Citadels today, but couldn't we could have added one more player. I just heard 7 player games can get very lengthy. The six player game worked well tho.

Called today to confirm and they did not have us on the schedule and had someone else already using the room. Grr! Had to move to a different time and location. Hope you can all still come!

If you a modern gamer please comment below your a list of games you prefer. I do play some older games: Sequence, Word Up, Scrabble and Can't Stop. Most of my interest are in card games mostly post 2000 (year) games. I do play some Euros: Ticket To Ride, Catan and some Fantasy Flight releases. I am interested if we got some modern gamers here. If I RSVP I would bring Bonanza and Citadels both are cheap and easy games to learn.

I'm bringing, amongst others, one called Witch's Brew that folks may want to try. It's hidden role selection, like Citadels, but with a more light-hearted theme: brewing magic potions.

In keeping with the Sunday Assembly motto, we’re going to include a few moments to focus on Live better, Help often, Wonder more. We’ll ask for a volunteer at some point, so give some thought to what you might say. (It might also be modeled along the lines of “X” is doing their best.) This is not a polished speech! It’ll be a mere 1-2 minutes short! We’ll adore you for your courage!
