Pickle Crazy - Cold Pack Pickle Workshop

I've been packing cold packed pickles every year for the past twenty some years and people love it when I teach them how. It's so much fun! Are you interested in this Pickle Crazy Workshop? You will assist me in packing the 24 jars I process per year and then you will go home with a 'kit' that contains all the supples you will need to make 3 quart jars of your own!

I'll even share my favorite place to go and buy more pickle cukes and fresh supples direct from the grower. The recipe I use has been around for generations in our community and the pickles sell for almost ten dollars a quart at the local markets when done! How this sound for a pickle crazy time!

The photo here are the pickles I made and there are more photos uploaded of the process!

When: Saturday September 4th

Time: 2pm - 3:30 pm

Where: Here at the Sunshine Grove

COST: I have to go out to purchase the kits ahead of time that will be made specially fo us from my local cucumber farmer so I have to pay for them in advance. The price is $16.47 ($15.00 plus tax) and this is my exact cost. So please mail me your supply cost of $16.47 plus the cost of the workshop $10.00 ($26.47) NO LATER THAN AUGUST 26th to ensure a place for you in the class. Mail to WoMN [masked]th St Ct E. Edgewood WA 98372 ****If you missed that you need to pay ahead of time email me at [masked] and I'll get ithe kit and you can pay me back when you get here :) ***

Parking: The Sunshine Grove is a personal home and learning facility. We are nestled in a cul-de-sac so please do not park in the front of anyones driveway. They will come in and ask you to move in not a nice way. At the end of my street is a city park and there is ample parking there. The walk in is only less than a block. Thanks!

I loved every minute of the pickling and the wonderful company. I'm all hyped about getting jars and pickling everything I can get my hands on and get as creative as I want. I also loved the folks I met. WoMN, you're awesome!

WoMN once again hosted a fantastic Meetup. While I teased her about pulling a Tom Sawyer (canning her pickles for the year); the experience was invaluable. We learned to scrub off the blossom end, how to attractively pack the jars, what the different ingredients do,etc. I felt confident and empowered by the end of the class. I bought two pickle kits and packed mine later. I loved playing with the recipe so I have different tastes awaiting me. With WoMN's Meetups, I can now make elixirs, salves, straw bale garden, and cold pack pickles. I can only say I want MORE!!!

For those who did not attend~Wow, did you miss out! We received exactly what was stated and so much more! I was curious as to this method and most importantly what these pickles taste like~ The method is very easy & the pickles are delicious! This workshop was so much fun, can't wait to crack open my pickles in November, just in time for Thanksgiving!

Yup... I tiz and I wan't happy when I got to the farm... the pickle kits were one price when they quoted me on the tele... (15.00) then when I went to get them they had raised the price to 19.95... so either one can pay me for the first price the farmer quoted me...and only $5.00 for the workshop or they can pay the hard cost and then I'll still receive $10.00 for teaching the workshop ... in any case... my house smells like yummy dill already!

They are packed cold and put into the frig to cure. The longer they are in the frig the better they get! They are dill but we add in different spices so you can make them as garlic as you want or as hot as you want. I usually pack 24 jars a year and give them out as gifts. They do also sell them in the local stores as the demand is so high!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
