Bring plenty of water, snacks and lunch, there is usually water available at the top but there has been time when it was out.

WEATHER

Looks great so far, sunny and maybe low 70's, it will be cooler on top, and be prepared for some wind on exposed ridges. Temperature at starting time most likely around 40 degr. dress in layers
Don't forget your SUNSCREEN, hat etc. this hike will be exposed.

If we are lucky and the air is clear we will see the Sierras, Farallon Islands and more. There should be plenty of wildflowers in bloom by now.

Note: If you decide to leave the hike early, please let me know or tell somebody else to let me know!

We will have lunch at the top and there will be a lot of other hikers and ppl who drove to the top, it is your job to make sure not to miss the departure from the top, I will do my best to get everyone together, but with a crowd on top it is not always easy.

Directions:

http://maps.google.co...

From Hwy 680 or 24 take the Ygnacio Valley Exit, drive approx. 8 miles on Ygnacio to Clayton Road, turn right on Clayton Road keep going on Clayton Road for 2.5 miles then Clayton Road will turn into Marsh Creek Road no need to turn just keep going (there is a right turn for Marsh Creek Road off Clayton Road ignore this one) after 0.5 on Marsh Creek turn right on Regency Drive and go to the end of Regency Drive.

There is limited parking and turnaround at the end of the street, but there is plenty of parking before the street ends. Just park before the last houses and keep clear of the drive ways.

Very nice hike. Awesome views. Contrasting colors. Blue skies. Red, purple, brown rocks - must be minerals or something else. Green meadows and shrubs. Spring flowers of all colors. Many butterflies. Got a bit warmer after lunch. Water at Mt. Diablo summit helped out. Slippery trails due to gravel. Thanks Chris for organizing this and waiting for some of us at the trail intersections!

A warm day but not too hot. Green hills in all directions, lots of flowers. Oh, and I think we did a little climbing too. : )

Nice challenging hike. I thought the weather was fabulous. Lots of sun and warm bordering on hot. A number of fast paced hikers today so we were quite spread out. I think I counted 9 peak, but, I won't quibble....
