Pace: usually around 3mph on my Bay Area hikes

I usually don't run short hikes like this, but I have to check on my geocache up at Rock City and decided to post it as a hike. Checking on the cache will be quick and you can take a quick break while I do so, or check out the cool windcave (pictured) next to the cache hiding spot.

The trailhead where I am starting the hike is less known and only has a few roadside parking spots, therefore we will meet at the loaction indicated below and carpool to the trailhead.

We will meet on El Cerro Blvd, just of Hwy 680, it looks like there is roadside parking along El Cerro on the East Side of Hwy 680 going east (towards Mt. Diablo)
I drive a RED SATURN VUE and will be there at around 8:20am and plan on leaving at 8.45am.
It should take about 10 min to get to the trailhead.

I am planning to be back at the cars between 12pm and 1pm

Make sure to bring water, sunscreen, snack etc.

Route Summit trail, connector trail to rock city, short trip to sentinel rock, paved road down to campground and return via summit trail.

As we all know the Bay Area and Mt. Diablo is home to Poison Oak and Rattle Snakes, I have seen very few snakes on all of my hikes, just make sure to watch your step and where you put your hands.
