 .

This is a half day hike, we should see plenty of flowers, we did part of the route last week and all the pics without a date have been taking along that route last week the ones with date are on the same route but 2 years ago,

The hike is short, but after approx. 1.5 miles we have a climb of about 1200 feet, some trail segments will be rocky and slippery.

important things to know,

This hike will have a good amount of climbing

**There will be some steep****devilish up and down sections

** Some sections can be****devilish slippery.

**Poison Oak****devilish can be found at the side of trails, you should know what it looks like in order to avoid it, keep your eyes open on single track trails, (like baldridge trail)

** Ticks ****devilishare out this time of the year make sure to check during and after the hike.

** not that I have seen a lot, but** snakes** do make their home in a lot of places in California including Mt Diablo, just keep your eyes open.

I probably won't be able to bring copies of maps to this hike

***Geocache, I may go after a geocache and have the group take a break at twin peaks, while I am off to find it.****

Hiking Route

Back Creek trail to Murchio Gap, Eagle Peaks trail, over Eagle peak, Mitchell Rock, Coulter Pine, Bruce Lee, murchio back to parking.

WEATHER, mostly cloudy skies, high around 60 for Clayton where we start the hike, (as of Thursday morning) forecast has been changing a lot, rain, showers, no showers,  who knows, ** I will be going rain / sun/ showers****.

Directions:

http://maps.google.co...

From Hwy 680 or 24 take the Ygnacio Valley Exit, drive approx. 8 miles on Ygnacio to Clayton Road, turn right on Clayton Road keep going on Clayton Road for 2.5 miles then Clayton Road will turn into Marsh Creek Road no need to turn just keep going (there is a right turn for Marsh Creek Road off Clayton Road ignore this one) after 0.5 on Marsh Creek turn right on Regency Drive and go to the end of Regency Drive.

There is limited parking and turnaround at the end of the street, but there is plenty of parking before the street ends. Just park before the last houses and keep clear of the drive ways.

It was great weather, not too warm, and a nice workout! The clockwise route took us up a lot of uphill grade and I can feel it today!
