 Route

Hike  starts at Wrights lake, follow the trail to twin lakes for about 3.3 miles, from there it will be off trail, bouldering etc.... up to little pyramid peak at 9441 feet, we descend cross country, bouldering etc.... to tyler lake and on to tylers grave where we catch the trail back for about 3.7 miles to wrights lake

I may have a stop at one of the lakes on the way back for a swim,

Group Effort!! Unlinke most of my hikes I have to insist that nobody goes ahead, (at least most of the time), since I don't know the exact route, and we will folllow my gps at time, which has the route I obtained from Dave a group leader from the Norcal peak hikers.

Trail Conditions

Part of this hike will be off trail,

**possible boulder fields

** possible scree fields

** poss. slippery areas up / down

Gear

** hiking poles may help you, bring them if you usually use them

**  sunscreen.

**food, water, dress in layers

*** you should have hiked in the mountains and know what to bring

bug spray, we may get some mosquitos in the morning and evening.

**Geocaches,*** as some of you know, I do a little geocaching on some hikes, if they are really close to the route, there maybe a couple, you may have to take a break while I step of the trail.

    Eastern Sierra Mountain Ranges and lakes within were;
so majestic, so wonderful, and so beautiful!

A good group size for the type of hike and very good fellow hikers to share with... even the weather cooperated for us to complete the hike without getting wet. It showered a bit on our way back home.

here is the gps route, 10 miles, 2800 feet, you can zoom in and if you switch to satellite you can zoom in more (as of aug. 5, they still had the late winter pic up, hopefully they change it soon and you can see more details as you zoom in )

My first visit to desolation. Beautiful lakes & trails. Enjoyed the off trail hike to the peak also. Thanks Chris for a great leadership.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
