Support from your peers during a strenuous time. Meet with people experiencing similar challenges. Discuss, reflect, share, learn from, and encourage one another!
Several groups offered including on:
Severe Anxiety, Surviving the Death of a Spouse or other Loved one/Grief/Bereavement, Eating Disorders, Displaced/Unemployed in a Tough Economy, Parenting, Coping with Chronic Illness.
Group meetings are facilitated/lead by an experienced therapist.
(Each new group must have 7 actively interested members, then a date will be set for your first meeting).
GROUP # 1
ANXIETY DISORDERS WORKSHOPS:
Panic, anxiety attacks, avoidance, phobia, extreme anxiety...this one's for you. There is a way to grow through this time in your life, not stay stuck, and feel happier, safer, more contented. Let's explore and learn them together. It's a process that takes effort and willingness to do what works...you are worth it. We will help one another to achieve, overcome, & triumph. It can be done! Together is better!

Loss of a loved one, get the necessary support you need to get through it. Meet with others going through this huge life transition. Together we can!
GROUP # 3
EATING DISORDERS SUPPORT GROUPS:
Overweight, eating compulsively? Need support and a focused structure to help you change your habits? This group will be for you. Weight loss and healthy eating habits can be achieved...support through this process has been demonstrated to help you make it happen. Save your life now. Let's receive this gift of healthy eating practices, healthy lifestyle, healthy weight, together. Enjoy your life.
GROUP # 4
Underweight? Bulimic? Come join others with a similar challenge and help one another overcome this health challenge. Grow into your best well-being and be much healthier & happier. Enjoy your life, focus on living, not obsessing.
GROUP # 5
Good parenting can be hard work but has certain basic ingredients in common to optimize your children's growth and family harmony...Let's encourage one another & work on it together.
Parents who may benefit from this group may be struggling to raise children, of any age, who are misbehaving at home or who are not meeting their potential at school. Or you may have children with special emotional needs, or in difficult or transitional circumstances who may present particular challenges as well.

"WOMEN TALKING" SUPPORT GROUPS:
Experiencing a major life transition, relationship disruption, unemployed, looking for work, displaced, feeling anxious or confused, trying to figure out what your next move is? These groups are for those who would like to get support from peers experiencing similar job/career/relationship or other major life transitions.
Group for unemployed, underemployed, displaced, laid-off:
Looking for work? Racking your brain to figure out your next career/job opportunity could be? Feeling at your breaking point? Depressed, anxious...Over a year without any prospects? It's important to have a place to go to openly discuss what you are going through and get the support you deserve during this time of transition, that may be quite challenging. Adjusting to the reality of the job market can be painful and stressful...no need to go it alone. Come in and share the experience with others experiencing a similar situation. Share ideas. Get help to clear your thoughts. Learn to adjust while sharing this time with a group of your peers. Whether you are retraining, underemployed, displaced, laid-off, you can benefit from a group supportive experience.

About experiencing a Relationship Breakup, Separation, or Divorce.Assistance with processing your experience so you will be better able to focus on your future, and feel empowered.Share and receive encouragement through this stressful, difficult time.

Chronic Physical Disease Support Group:
For those coping with chronic illness of self. Can be very difficult, and frustrating. Support and encouragement while you learn to manage your physical situation.

For those coping with the chronic illness of a loved one. This can be tough and exhausting, how to balance things and deal with your emotions.

ADULT CHILDREN OF AGING PARENTS:
Do you have aging, elderly parents? Do you need help managing and coping with their new disabilities, worsening personalities, power struggles for independence when they need your help ask for it but won't take it. Do you need endless patience that you know you don't have? Has your past relationships with them been strained or difficult and now everything is coming to a head? This one's for you.

SINGLE WITHOUT A FAMILY OF YOUR OWN:
Are you single without family of your own? Are you unable or is it too late to have your own children? Childless and mournful or despairing? Feeling shame, stigma, isolated, regret, or anxious as a result?This support group focuses on this specific sense of loss. how to pick up the pieces and continue to enrich your life, set new goals, and reinvent your life. No matter why or how in these circumstances you can benefit from and you do deserve support. Share with and also encourage one another.

PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH ANXIETY DISORDERS:
Meet to discuss how best to support your family member. Discuss and gain understanding regarding the need to heal from this potentially destructive illness. Share and encourage one another to grow through this challenge and increase the probability for a happy and productive lifestyle.
Group # 14:
ADULT CHILDREN OF SEVERELY MENTALLY ILL PARENTS &/OR DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILIES:
Come and share you memories, & current struggles. Participate in providing one another with support, and encouragement. Work on coping skills development and growth. Recognize and acknowledge needs for consistency, reliability, self-trust, and stable healthy intimacy. Learn and practice forgiveness of self and others, and the importance practice of healthy boundaries and limits. Appreciate that you are a strong survivor. This is a special group for people who have been through a lot with very little support while growing up in their family of origin.

CLUTTERED, HOARDING, or just TOO MUCH STUFF, DISORGANIZED? Do you feel overwhelmed by getting your stuff reduced and organized? We will have a step by step approach to de-clutterfy your home and becoming better organized together. Get the support you need to accomplish your goals, and learn to actively combat clutter!
Sedentary and need to exercise? This is a special group for those who really want to do it but have a mental block and chronic motivational challenge to actually getting it done.

The challenges of finally living life as a fully responsible adult is not as easy as you may have once thought it would be. Let's support & encourage one another, share tips, challenges, & successes.

Has sibling rivalry gone off the rails in your own family? Do you have a sibling you no longer talk too? Is your relationship strained to the breaking point? Would you like to attempt to repair your relationship or just have someone to talk to about it? Are there years of water under the bridge & you could clear the air. This group is intended to explore family dynamics and develop and action plan with the support, guidance, and encouragement you need to address this heart wrenching issue in your life.
PLEASE NOTE: You will initially be on the wait-list for these on-going groups after, 1) RSVPing YES for the specific group, and/or then, 2) EMAILING the organizer/ group facilitator directly through the organizer's profile link. 3) You will also need to SPEAK DIRECTLY to organizer/facilitator by PHONE in order to be formally admitted. 4) Active group members RESPOND to emails & online communication and also PHONE in to CONFIRM (once there are 7 in your group who have confirmed, your group can begin). New groups will be continually forming. You must be willing to maintain direct individual communication and contact with the group facilitator to begin & remain actively included.
Each group will begin together and we will have the members of each group remain the same. Join if you would potentially like to be part of a group that continues to meet on a regular basis.
Once a group has formed we will keep our own schedule and personal contacts directly through phone direct email. This website's on-going primary purpose is for the forming of new groups that will continue to interact off this website in person.
