Surf's Up in The Gulf! Let's Go!!

Surf reports showing a bump in the gulf this coming Monday and Tuesday morning.

I cannot get out Monday night, but hopefully will be able to get down for dawn patrol Tuesday morning before work - 6:30am. Sunday is now looking pretty decent in Cocoa so the plan is to head there Sunday before the show in Orlando.

So far magicseaweed reporting small but rideable surf Monday, and slowly tapering off. Should be decent Mon night and maybe leftovers Tues morning. Check it out here: http://magicseaweed.com/Sunset-Beach-Surf-Report/1215/

Be sure to post comments on the site if you are heading down there, when, and what you are riding (color and make and size of your board) so people can find you!

Looks like those initial forecasts have fizzled out... Typically gulf waves!! Will try to make it down Tues morning for any of you early birders...

Hey Mark, didn't see you... we were in front and to the left of the rock jetty. Were you there?

Waves were choppy when we first got there. Started cleaning up just as I had to go at about 8am.... Still got a few good rides and that's all that ever matters! Beautiful morning..

Got in the water about 4:30, some shoulder high faces but sloppy. Winds were on-shore at 15-25kts. Not much drift because of the onshore wind. Water and air still nice and warm.

Cool Bruce!! Thanks for the tip on the vid... I'm lined up for dawn patrol tomorrow morning. Cu down there! Looking forward to it as it was flat on both coasts this weekend!

I plan on catching the incoming tide about 2 pm today most likely followed by a dawn patrol tomorrow. FYI for all us old guy loggers; surfline.com has a "ductumentary" sic, sponsored by Vans about joel tudor. Some great historical footage along with some incredible "style" surfing examples.

Finally something other than wind slop! I'll be watching the buoys and when it gets rideable I'll be there on Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon? 10'0" Hansen 50/50 with "Moon" eyes sticker on the bottom.
