I live in IRB but looking for other good breaks around the area. Any suggestions?

I like Sunset Beach on Treasure Island, it's usually one of the first places in Pinellas County to start breaking when there's any swell in the gulf.

Hey Robb, where is IRB? I agree with Bruce that Sunset Beach is the best break closest to Pinellas County. I also recently went to Bradenton to Twin Piers. That was a great little break as well.

Indian Rocks Beach. I will have to check out sunset beach. Has anyone tried sand key beach?

Sand key is best during the winter cold fronts. The NW winds are blocked by the jetty so it can be cleaner just south of the jetty. Seems like more of a short-board wave to me, peaks quickly and breaks close to shore. I've heard there are some good breaks in the Reddington Beach area if we get hurricane swell, let us know!
