Oceanside Beach Cleanup

The Surfrider Foundation San Diego County Chapter and San Diego Coastkeeper coordinate cleanups three times a month. On the second Saturday, we clean up a North County beach (Oceanside to Torrey Pines), on the third Saturday we host a cleanup at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas and on the fourth Saturday of every month we clean up a beach in South County (La Jolla to Imperial Beach).

For a complete list of 2012 cleanup dates and locations download our 2012 Beach Cleanup Calendar or for a schedule with directions download the 2012 Beach Cleanup Calendar with Directions.

***Note: The Moonlight Beach Cleanups in May, June and September have been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts with the city. We have also added two more beach cleanups to our 2012 calendar. We will be hosting cleanups at the Oceanside Pier on Saturday, October 6th and Saturday, December 1st from 9-11am.***

We encourage everyone to bring their own reusable bag, bucket, grabber or work gloves if possible. We will continue to supply bags, buckets, gloves and grabbers but we are moving away from single-use items of this nature. Help us Rise Above Plastics by reducing your plastic footprint!

Please wear comfortable clothes, closed toed shoes, a hat and sunscreen. Also, don’t forget your reusable cup or bottle. Water will be provided and we will have paper cups on hand.

Finally, if you have a group of over 25 please print this waiver and sign in advance of the cleanup to help expedite the registration process. The waiver form can be downloaded here!
