Please join us for a scenic circular walk from West Wycombe via Saunderton, Bradehnam and Hughenden Manor. The area is famous for two politicians who lived a century apart; hence the name of the walk!

The walk will be led by Barbara who always has very interesting information about the locale.

At our meeting point you'll find a cafe and amenities and we will aim to start at 10:15 so please make sure to arrive at the Anlex Land Garden Centre (http://www.anlexland.co.uk/ ) before 10:15 and look for the yellow SAWW sign.

If you use Grid References, please use GR: SU826947 and for Maps please use OS LR175/Expl 172.

PUB LUNCH is available at the Red Lion (https://sites.google.com/site/redlionbradenhamofficial/home) or you can have a PICNIC on Bradenham Green. The pub landlords are very walker friendly as long as we remove muddy boots before entering the premises and refrain from eating our own food. We'll also stop by the Hughenden Manor National Trust Cafe for a refreshing mid-afternoon tea.

Please note that this is an 11-mile walk and it will have two steep ascents. We will be moving at an average pace during the walk but please make sure that you are able to walk this kind of distance. Suitable long-distance walking shoes and attire are highly recommended - we suggest that you bring waterproof gear just in case. Lastly, this walk may be more suitable for folks arriving by car. However, if you choose to take public transport then you'd need to take the train to High Wycombe and then take the number 40 bus to West Wycombe. PLEASE check with transportation links to make sure both buses and trains run on the day because engineering works may disrupt plans.

See you on the 21st for what promises to be a lovely stroll through history.

Excellent walk with interesting things to see. One friendly-pub-stop for lunch and a visit to a National Trust house for mid-afternoon tea. A very nice way to spend a Saturday.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
