Join Trackers Earth's Hunting Immersion instructor Tom Prang as he discusses his nearly 30 years of experience living as a subsistence hunter, fisher, gleaner, and trapper across the West Coast and the wilds of Alaska.
Tom addresses the ways, ethics, and regulations of hunting and foraging to provide food for your family. He discusses his own adventures in the Alaskan bush and even covers subsistence hunting and foraging during his own time as a longtime educator in the Pacific Northwest.
Tom Prang is an experienced educator in the natural sciences and has been a Master Hunter certified by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. He blends his academic backgrounds in archaeology, and natural history with a diverse work experience, including backcountry guide, flintknapper, bear monitor, and field archaeologist.
Please Note - This lecture offers advise on the simplest ways to get started hunting and foraging. It does not necessarily cover traditional bow and other fully primitive methods yet the concepts presented can be applicable.
