Do you enjoy getting outdoors and enjoying nature? If so, come and join us at our dedicated site near Horsham, a 21 acre woods.
This session will focus on one of the key skills of outdoor living, and that is firelighting. We will cover the theory of fire, firelighting and fire lays before embarking on an exploration of the different methods of making flame, including fire by friction.
This is a very hands-on day so please come dress appropriately. Also, you will be making flame and fire, so please don't wear your best, most expensive gore-tex jacket! If possible, natural fibre clothes (wool, cotton, ventile, etc) are better and more robust around fire.
This is our second session, so feel free to look at the previous meet-up for pictures and reviews.
Our team are all qualified Bushcraft instructors, first aid trained and have our own unique skills.
Please bring your own lunch and snacks. We will provide tea and coffee.
The day is open to anyone over 14, but those under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult (ratio of 2 children to 1 adult). If required, we will provide knives for your use, so please do NOT bring your own.
