URBAN PERMACULTURE ACCELERATED TRAINING Starting April 13th ! 5 Saturdays

Highly recommend this course . . .  what better way to tee up Earth Day !

We Need More Permies in Jersey City !!

Excellent training available to you through this certificate course Claudia Joseph has designed.  Claudia is an Environmental Educator and founded the New York Permaculture Exchange.  http://permaculture-exchange.org

As one of SJC's Education Collaborators she has kicked off the last two seasons of our Urban Farming & Gardening Series teaching an Introduction to Permaculture in Urban Landscapes intensive.  She is an excellent teacher with a gentle approach focused on community building.

We highly recommend this Brooklyn course and invite you to bring what you've learned back to your neighborhoods here and to the three demonstration projects SJC is launching this season.

Remember, the best way to learn is to teach others - share your skills as you acquire them and help transform Jersey City into a permaculture town :-)

URBAN PERMACULTURE ACCELERATED TRAINING certificate course begins April 13.
5 Saturdays: April 13, April 20, May 11, May 18, June 1
Guest teachers: Jono Neiger, Dan Farella, Tattfoo Tan.  Site teacher: Claudia Joseph

The Old Stone House is the historic site of the Battle of Brooklyn, one of the first and largest battles of the Revolutionary War. The ten public gardens are planted for food, medicine, craft material, wildlife habitat and storm-water absorption. This fast-paced course on traditional permaculture topics such as energy, shelter, community, food, waste streams and water management, will utilize current information in the media and practical knowledge from traditional sources. To step into the rapid transition that is happening right now, the emphasis is on social cooperation and positive change, demonstrated with physical models and hands-on learning opportunities.

The Old Stone House is such a wonderful learning site !
