Sunday Night Dinner Up At Five Corners !

Good friend and collaborator in a new eco-adventure up at Five Corners

(more on this later in the month) Chris Greene, Executive Director

of Saint Paul's Center of Caring, sent over this lovely invitation;

if your schedule permits join us as promises to be a very lovely evening.

Here's Chris Greene's note:

Dear Friends,

I want to extend to you a special invitation to dine together this Sunday, May 5th, at 5pm, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Community Center. You will be served at table by members of our church, the Jersey City Food Coop, the Sharing Place Food Pantry, and St. Paul's Center of Caring an appetizing menu of Soup, Salad, Fresh Baked Bread, and your choice of entree (Grilled Salmon, Chicken Parmigiana, or Vegetable Lasagna). We'll finish off with a special dessert, coffee or tea. Accompanying the dinner will be music of saxophone and guitar by special guest artist Tom Tallitsch. There will be only one seating, so arrive by 5pm to assure yourself and your friends a place. There is no charge for the evening's presentation. The only agenda for this meal is that friends and neighbors have an opportunity for enjoyment and conversation. So come and bring a guest, especially one of our many neighbors in the Five Corners' area. Off-street parking is available. The community center is located directly behind St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Yours in community,

Christopher Greene

    Was not sure what to expect but was surprised at the menu choices being offered it was like being at a wedding, everything from soup to nuts. I enjoyed the fresh locally grown vegetables from the garden, the salmon I had was tasty and the fresh mashed potatoes were excellent. The strawberry cheesecake was a nice ending to a friendly atmosphere of good company and good food. The Lutheran church made a beautiful presentation making everyone feel welcomed.

    This was a great gathering, with a delicious meal and as good a musical entertainment as there can be. Warm thanks to the organizers.
