These SJC Monthly Meetings will now be held at CITY HALL, downtown Jersey City, a short walk from the Grove Street PATH; 1st Tuesday evening of every month 7-9pm; meeting format below.  This is our monthly business meeting open to the community.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



SJC's new Monthly Meeting format will provide some local eats, an update on SJC community activities and a presentation by a community org, municipal official or a professional related to Greener Buildings, Energy Efficiency, Water Conservation and other sustainability topics of interest.

We've now combined our Monthly Community Building Meetup with our Experts Talk Series and hope this new format will be fun and educational for everyone.

Suggested food donation $5.00

FEATURED SPEAKERS FOR APRIL & MAY -

SJC is pleased to host Hudson County Division of Planning Chief, Massiel Ferrara and her Team, who will be presenting on Land Use Planning Tools at both our April and May Monthly Meetings.  These perspective will cover an important set of topics for stakeholders who have expressed an interest in learning more about alternatives and best practices in planning for the economic and quality of life needs of a community while safeguarding natural resources.

These talks are intended to help facilitate your civic participation in sustainable development, redevelopment and neighborhood revitalization discussions, whether you live in Hudson County or elsewhere, as are common to most urban landscapes. 

Later this year we hope to host Jersey City Planning, which is part of the Department of Housing, Economic Development & Commerce, so stay tuned.

Part 1 - April 1st

Francesca Giarrantana and Megan Massey will discuss the County's Open Space Program, Transportation Studies, Planning Board, Greening Techniques and work done under the auspice of their Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies (CEDS) Committee.


Part 2 - May 6th

SJC Green Drinks +ART will now be held uptown at Pal Inasal / Five Corners, a short walk from the Journal Square PATH; 3rd Thursday evening of every month 6:30-ish til 9pm-ish.  This is our monthly social event and is curated to entertain !
