What would help make Jersey City more sustainable, in your view?

In general I feel that we should act like city planners through a sustainable lens and use our respective organizations to decide on, lobby for and implement plans to make the city more sustainable. Now that many community groups are connecting and working together, I believe we should write a five year strategic plan from which we can set priorities, organize campaigns and take action. For example, there has been a focus on water catchment in our discussions and perhaps the first stage of the strategic plan should include a master plan for better water management. From there we can break down what is doable and decide who (govt, CBOs, public institutions and/or private sector) can do what. I look forward to organizing and advocating for sustainability in Jersey City!

Have you taken our Welcome Survey ? This will give us a better idea about what areas you are most interested in so we can introduce you to people who have some of the same interests as you do, and who may even live in your neighborhood!
