What would help make Jersey City more sustainable, in your view?

Better care of trees and retention of tree canopy, parks, increased recycling and elimination of the Municipal Incinerator Authority would improve our environment. Removal of the the coal-fired electricity generating plant owned by PSEG and located by the Passaic River west of Jersey City, and development of solar and possibly hydro-based co-generation in Jersey City would improve our air and reduce ozone emergency days in our urban area. The parking authority and the MIA should both be under city control and subject to the same oversight as any other agency. We should try to control flooding and water use by elimination of high flush toilets in existing older homes and buildings.

Have you taken our Welcome Survey ? This will give us a better idea about what areas you are most interested in so we can introduce you to people who have some of the same interests as you do, and who may even live in your neighborhood!
