Get farm-fresh vegetables through the Journal Square CSA this season!

Post #: 10
Get fresh, local, organic vegetables in Jersey City by joining the Journal Square CSA! To become a member of the Journal Square Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) group, you:

  • purchase a share from our sustainable local farmer
  • volunteer about 6 hours over the season
  • pick up your vegetables after work every Monday from June through October at Hudson Pride Connections Center, 32 Jones St, 3 blocks from Journal Square.

  • Joining a CSA is a great way to get to know a local farmer who practices sustainable farming, get fresh delicious vegetables, explore new foods, meet like-minded people in the community, and supplement your community garden bounty.

Vegetable shares cost $455 ($20/week) and feed 2-3 people. The weekly shares include 6-8 types of vegetables, herbs, or melon and vary each week. All members also volunteer twice during the season at the pick-up site, helping with receiving and signing in members.

In return for your membership fee and a small amount of time, you will get fresh, delicious, local, seasonal vegetables for five full months. Visit our website or email to find out more.
