Originally from NJ. World traveller. Love gardening. No, that's not me in the picture. The gentleman is Carlos Gavito a very famous Argentine Tango dancer. Cook everything from scratch. I bike/bus everywhere. Searching for quiet places in RI!

Do you have any special skills you are willing to share?

I bake great bread and have a very easy recipe. I grew tomatoes in my house through the winter...picked them in February...so I can share how I did that. Cooking.

What tpes of events would you be likely to participate in?

Depends what the event is. I used to live in Montana so country fairs are cool. Anything that connects me with outdoors and quiet. Homesteader and self-sufficiency events. Let's see what comes up.

What types of skills would you be interested in learning?

Canning and preserving! Building a greenhouse with old windows that is not large but is big enough for me to sit in and watch the snow fall. Vegetarian recipes.

Hi Milmore! I was disappointed not to be able to make the green burial talk at the last minute. I'm going to look into RI laws. Did you see the posting for the homesteading skills workshop in Maine? Also, is your bread recipe based onthe "artisian bread in 5 minutes a day" recipe? I had great success with that and also keep a sourbread culture going for a long time. Hope to meet you soon!

Hi Milore! After reading that you bake great bread, I'm bummed out that you won't be able to make the potluck this weekend :) We hope to plan more events throughout the summer, possibly even a movie night with the documentary "Bag It." More to come on that later. I think that's awesome you grew tomato plants indoors this winter! I just tried starting seedlings in the house this winter for the first time and had a very LOW success rate. Hope to meet you at some point very soon! Be well :)

Milore: Thanks for the shout out! We'd love to have you at our Meetup. I'll try to schedule the next one at noon so you can make it. Maybe we could host the meeting at the Southside Community Land Trust? Let me know... we were talking a lot about the SCLT during our first meeting! :)
