Getting a lot of requests to do another aquaponics class so here it is. We will take an IBC or intermodal bulk container that you can buy in Tucson for around a hundred bucks, put some PVC pipe into it, hook it up to a pump, and you are ready to rock and roll. Oh yeah, you still have to put in some media (rocks, lavastone, expanded clay pellets, etc) and add some fingerling fish (we will talk about types) and some plants (we will talk about these as well) and then you are all set to go. Well, there are other issues to talk about like proper PH, heat or cooling options, trouble shooting, and so on. We will not only cover it but you will make one during this hour. And you will get an EBook from the University of Sustainability with video and links to make it all simple. All this for $25 bucks is a steal. There will be another class right after this one on Composting and how to build your own outdoor roundhouse two holer for under $300 that will last almost forever and that makes and saves you money. (the clue is that you can use it in conjunction with the aquaponics system and even have an outdoor or indoor shower as part of the system). Check that meetup out as well and save money on both. These are rain or shine meetups and you can bring as second person with you for just $10 more.
