How and/or where did you first hear out about this Meetup group?

What was it that got you interested in sustainability?

In all seriousness, the Bible and a movie called Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

How are you engaging in sustainable living at work and at home?

I am into homesteading/minimalist living, advocacy/volunteering in the committee, and am currently occupied with writing a thesis on integration of EcoCity, Healthy City, and Age-Friendly Cities research for a concrete, urban development model - and refining the model through engagement with individuals with known preference for suburban sprawl.

What do you see as the biggest challenges facing our community with regard to creating a sustainable future?

Good, sustainable practices which bring comfort and sense of progress, but ultimately cannot match the scale of the issues facing humanity.

24 year old M. Environment student with some work/internship experience in non-profit, academia, and government (Public Health Agency of Canada)
