Join a practical discussion of sustainability with a local treasure and global influencer, Jennifer Orgolini, Sustainability Steward of New Belgium Brewing Company.
For 90 minutes, we will take a methodological walk through the company's practices, using a system called Whole Systems Risk Management.
We will reviewing all aspects of the company's behavior, from their financial performance and HR practices, to their success in marketing and market position. We will spend a fair bit of time talking about environmental, social and human policies, and we will ground that discussion in practical measurements and methods that are relevant to many different types of business.
Participants will be able to ask questions along the way, while Greg Berry facilitates the discussion to ensure we get a balanced view of the business.
Be sure to take advantage of this rare opportunity to learn from one of Colorado's most innovative companies.

About this specific meetup:
We scheduled this meetup to coincide with the lunch break of ACS, in order to provide an opportunity for some of Colorado's future business leaders to connect with one of the state's more innovative companies. If you're new to this meetup group, please review the Overview and the blog posts that recap our inaugural and second meetups for a sense of what we are doing. This month we will move from the theoretical construct of the first few sessions into the more practical challenges facing a company trying to balance social and environmental issues while still meeting the financial demands of running a company.
About the venue and lunch:
This meeting will shift venues from our previous sessions, and take place at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, during the lunch break at the Angel Capital Summit. Due to complicated issues with the Convention Center, we're all responsible to feed ourselves. There is food available in the convention center at some of the small vendors. You are welcome to bring lunch in, or eat before or afterward, as you see fit. We'll have some water and light snacks to ensure no one passes out or anything weird, but it won't be lunch.
Finally, we encourage you to also check out the EcoTuesday session on the night of the 17th, which features Dan Jacobs of Everywun, an inspiring social actions network.
Finally, please take a moment to thank our core sponsors (with whom we have shared the costs of getting this event going): Rick Zwetch and Caryn Capriccioso at InterSector Partners, and Ryan Martens and Susan Ruh at Rally Software. We are also grateful for our marketing partners, including Business Catapult, UnReasonable Institute, Integral Venture Capital, PURE Project, Mile High Business Alliance and Thrivability. We are also happy to welcome two new marketing partners this month: uncompromise and Greater Good Project.
