September Book Club (Take 2)

This month's book is "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick.

From Goodreads:

A final, apocalyptic, world war has killed millions, driving entire species into extinction and sending the majority of mankind off-planet. Those who remain, venerate all remaining examples of life, and owning an animal of your own is both a symbol of status and a necessity. For those who can't afford an authentic animal, companies build incredibly realistic simulacrae: horses, birds, cats, sheep . . . even humans.

We can follow this up with viewing of the 1982 film Blade Runner at another meeting if there's interest.

The meeting is currently scheduled to take place at my house.  Fair warning, I have twin 9 month olds and 2 cats.  If anyone knows of a better place to meet, I'm all ears, but for now this should work since there aren't many people who've RSVP'd.

Please bring book suggestions for October's meeting, along with any ideas for other get togethers.

Sorry! I had to change to no. My wife works Tuesday evenings now and I have to watch the kiddies.

Okay. Are there any other days that don't work for you? We'll try to pick a time for the next meeting that works for everyone.

Tuesday and Thursday evenings are out for me. Alternating Monday and Wednesday evenings I host a board gaming meetup at my library. So, at best, occasional Wednesdays and Fridays are open for me. I am such a pain!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
