Chattahoochee Hills, GA 30268

Serenbe Community and Cochran Mill Park in Chattahoochee Hills
Leaders: Hoke Smith ( [masked] )
Carla Royale ([masked])
Serenbe has miles of walking trails and photogenic opportunities along the roads as well.
Residents do not have lawns so they have a variety of wildflowers and other natural landscaping and there are a variety of animals within the community.

Around 5:30, as an additional offering, Hoke Smith will lead a walk/hike (Medium Difficulty) from the Cochran Mills Park ( to Cochran Mill Falls and an abandoned dam and sluice and a granite outcropping similar to Acadia Mountain and Stone Mountain. There is a parking fee as this is a city park.

If you want to make a day of photography in the Serenbe community, you are welcome to come early and attend a presentation by resident International photographer Greg Newington who will be presenting on travel photography - how to pack, what to take and how to make those travel and vacation pictures special by creating a "sense of place".
Greg's warm personality and ability to simplify the mysteries of capturing that special shot make this workshop appropriate for all levels---even beginners. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from a master photographer and improve the artistry of your travel photography.
Register here:

If you attend Greg's presentation, there is 1-1/2 hours until Field Trip starts and Serenbe offers a variety of eating places if you care to come early.
The Hil ( and
The Blue Eyed Daisy ( are a couple of places close
and just a couple miles away is The Farmhouse at Serenbe (

Nice way to spend a sunny, not too hot afternoon and evening.
The waterfalls were in the shade by 5:30 and made for good lighting with shutter speeds that allowed for silky water shots.
