This meeting takes place in Room 1 of the Douglasville Conference Center, 6700 Church St, Douglasville, GA 30134.
Park in the Parking Deck which is attached to the center and come in the front entrance under the flags and clock tower. Spouses / significant others and friends, as always are welcome!
Drinks and food are not allowed to be served in the Conference Center but "incidental drinks" can be brought in by individuals. A bottle of water or the like is suggested.
SPEAKER/JUDGE: Our guest speaker for this month is James Pettit.
From James' website: My interest in photography began at a young age. My father first inspired me with his storytelling, recalling his experiences taking and developing his own pictures and sharing them with friends and family. I see simple beauty in everyday things, and sharing what my eyes see through photography and image making is truly enjoyable. Maine, my home state, is a place where I still find artistic inspiration.
Please visit James' website at http://www.jamespettitphotography.com/and if you have no plans for next week,
Jim is leading a workshop in his home state Maine - click here to check it out.
THIS MONTH’S CONTEST: “Three” - The main subject should be composed of 3 definable characteristics, or parts or personalities or subjects.
We had two field trips shoots for this month's meeting -
1) Oakland Cemetery
2) McIntosh Reserve Pow Wow
Note: The purpose of the Meetups is to give members the opportunity to get out and shoot and if desired, with other club members. We learn from one another by watching each other shoot.
Anyone that wants to suggest or lead a Field Trip, please contact Janet Newton at.
