Annual Harriman Park Hike

Outstanding views, an old mine, and the former den of an eighteenth-century outlaw are just a few of the rewards on this intermediate hike that straddles two counties. We will also be stopping at the lake for a quick cool off dive and a lunch break.

This is a 4 hour moderate hike with some climbs on a gravel roads and rocky forest trails starting at Tuxedo Railway station.
For the car less new yorkers, we'll be taking the train at New York Penn Station NJ Transit - train leaves at 9.14 am Northeast Corridor #7829. We are meeting at 9am at the NJ Transit terminal. Return ticket is $26.
For the car less NJ folks, the train leaves from Secaucus Junction at 9.31am Port Jervis line #0071
We should get promptly at Tuxedo Station by 10.17am where we can meet the rest of the crowd who would be driving. There is plenty of parking there.
I am expecting to leave for the hike at 10.30am if all goes according to plan.
Hike time should be 3.5 to 4 hours covering a 6.8 mile loop from the station.
What to bring:
At least 2 liter of water per person
Your lunch
Your swim suite and towel
Bug spray

Meetup folk: As always, the SSC has its own reservation process, so please note that there will probably be more attendees than seen here. PS: I'll probably drive.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
