Milsons Point to Wollstonecraft

Where: Milsons Point to Wollstonecraft - Meet at the bottom of Alfred Street on the water.

Time: 3:30pm

Level of Difficulty: Easy.

Length of walk - approximately 3-4 hours.

This is a fairly easy walk with a few steep staircases. We will be starting near the swimming pool and heading along the waterfront past Luna Park to Lavender bay and McMahons Point. The walk goes around Blue's Point and we head to Waverton via Sawmiller Reserve. From Waverton about 75% of the walk is bushland as we go around Ball's Head and through the old Coal Loader before heading to Berry Island.

After doing a circuit of Berry Island and visiting the lookout, we will walk along the Gore Cove track through more bushland to Smoothey Park and Wollstonecraft Station. If we're lucky it will have been raining in the lead up to the walk and we will see plenty of small waterfalls in Berry's Creek (you may get your feet wet if it has been raining as we have to cross the creek to get to Smoothey park) rather than a dry creek bed.

Once we reach Wollstonecraft Station those who wish to can head up to St Leonards and Crows Nest where there are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants just 15 minutes walk away.

As usual please only RSVP if you are committed to attending.

Hi everyone, it's currently raining at wollstonecraft, however according to the weather radar it should be long gone by the start of the walk. The good news is berry's creek will be flowing with lots of little waterfalls.

    Make that forecast isolated showers.

Hi everyone, the forecast is for isolated - regardless of rain this walk will go ahead as it's an even better walk when there's been rain than when it's dry.
