You are not the ego
You have fallen in love with it

Of course the mind can explain the Truth
Like a thousand books can explain the taste of chocolate

You cannot see the seer
You cannot hear the hearer
You cannot taste the taster
You cannot know the knower

You are what is, why long for what is not

Enlightenment is liberation from the personal
Where the incessant craving for the fruits of one’s endeavours ends
And awareness no longer has a ME
The object to which all observation is referred and measured

Whatsoever you are, accept it so totally that nothing is left to be achieved

Satori is not the absence of ego
It is the presence of being

Rest in great peace troubled mind
Nothing is happening

I have lived long and overcome many great adversities
Most of them never happened

Hope is the dream of a sleeping soul

There is no need to find the truth
Just lose the lies

I have seen the Bird of Paradise
She has spread herself before me
Oh Heaven, there is nothing to fear, nothing
The life I am trying to grasp is me that is trying to grasp it

The wise discipline the ego
The enlightened set it free

What we experience now is the result of our past actions
It is not what we are now, only what we experience now
What we are has never changed

All ignorance comes from fear
Fear arises from the belief that I am separate from the rest of existence

There is no such thing as a person
There are only limitations
The sum total of these limitations defines the illusory person

Philosophy is not the meal
But it can serve to remind us that food is everywhere

It is not about being aware of God whilst peeling potatoes
It is about being aware of peeling potatoes

Death is not the opposite of life, death is the opposite of birth
Life has no opposite

Experience is not what you are
You are not result of experience
You are that which is aware of experience

After you have finished with I am this and I am that
I am shall remain

When you discover that you are
You will stop running around trying to find it

It is not that the truth exists and we must find it
There is only truth

We have created a far away God remote and separate from ourselves
A God that is beyond our ability to conceive
Nothing is further from the truth, everything is God

Be as you are, no snowflake falls in the wrong place

Don’t look for it
Just look
Then you will see

Knowing exists only in the mind, not in the real world
The mind is devoid of anything real

If I make the lashes dark and the eyes more bright
And lips more scarlet or ask that all be right
From mirror to mirror no vanity's displayed
I'm looking for the face I had before the world was made

I shall give you what the eye cannot see and the ear cannot hear
Which no hand has touched and what has never occurred to mind

You may only have the truth or the untruth
You cannot love both

It is your great wisdom that exposes your great foolishness

Three serious Yogis went to meditate in a remote cave
For a few months they held perfect silence
One day a sound was heard from outside the cave
6 months later one of the yogis asked, did you hear that goat?
Once again, there was silence
A year passes when another Yogi says
That wasn't a goat; it was a mule
Two more years pass by in silence until the third yogi says
If you two don't stop arguing, I'm leaving

So she went into the garden to cut a cabbage leaf, to make an apple-pie; and at the same time a great she-bear, coming up the street, pops its head into the shop. "What! no soap?" So he died, and she very imprudently married the barber; and there were present the Picninnies, and the Joblillies, and the Garyulies, and the grand Panjandrum himself, with the little round button at top; and they all fell to playing the game of catch as catch can, till the gunpowder ran out at the heels of their boots.

Michael is correct in that you cannot know the originator of a sense. But what if it were the case that there was an originator, one who did see, one who did hear, one who did taste, one who did know? What then would the conversation be? Just a question....
