We've gone International!

Well this is SUPER exciting!

18 months ago I started up the Sydney Web Accessibility and Inclusive Design meetup as a place for us to connect with our peers in a friendly, social environment, to share knowledge and most of all, to prevent the isolation many of us experience working as independent consultants and 'lone wolves' within larger organisations.

Not long after that Brisbane and Perth  groups started up, and more recently Melbourne.

Toronto, our first International group, launched a month ago and yesterday I heard that Los Angeles has now also formed a group. Thanks to each and every member of all of the meetup groups for making this happen, I think it's so important for us to have a community of peers for support, and from what I've expereinced in the Sydney group, it's been really heart warming and encouraging... So thank you. OK enough of the Mush!
The only other thing I want to say is that I can't wait to see where the next group starts up... I have no idea but I'm thinking an International A11y Road Trip might be an interesting future meetup?!
