Hi there, we have Confluence 3.4.6 and we are looking Fwd to 4.1. 2 things that I want to raise: FIrstly the compatibility of 4.1 with IE 8 is causing painful slowness in the instances. Jumping on to Chrome or Firefox becomes an infrastructure and budgeting issue. ANy help there? Also cloud 9: what about the security and privacy of the information? Can u shed some light on this?

Hi sanksar, great questions! There'll be a Confluence developer on the Q&A panel, and there should be a few product managers and architects around that evening to respond to this. Anyone else have anything to add to this?

Earlier versions of Firefox also share the slowness. We are also finding the new editor annoying to say the least, particularly the new implementation of the source code view as a macro. Give us back the markup view and all would be good. Hopefully I'll be able to attend.

Putting on my "user" hat and posting a question for the Q&A panel: Has anyone used a web application performance monitoring product like New Relic on a self hosted instance of Confluence (or any other Atlassian product). Which monitoring product? And is it worthwhile?

Hi Barry, yes we're lucky enough to have Nick Menere, JIRA's Product Architect, on the panel for all your JIRA needs :)

Also on the panel will be:
Matt Jenson - Java Dev, OnDemand dev, and previously worked on Confluence
Sten Pittet - Product Manager Fisheye / Crucible

We develop, support and maintain software in a healthcare setting and utilise Jira/Confluence to assist in this process. We would love to see (or at least discuss) best practice integration of the Atlassian suite in an environment (design, build, test, improve, maintain and document) not dissimilar to our own.

Anybody can provide me a list of Australian companies that can host Confluence?

FYI OnDemand uses NewRelic and I've used it for all cloud-based apps I've been involved with for the past 2.5 years
