Eco-kayaking in Middle Harbour - join Sydney Walking group

Jan 17
Sat 8:30 AM
Location
Sydney Harbour kayaks

at the base of The Spit Bridge in Mosman
We're on the Eastern side of the Spit Bridge opposite Delbora Marina and right under Harry's Fish Café
Mosman

This is a private home or office

Estimated attendance
 5  people attended.

Yes I know it's not a walk but we have a lot of active and nature loving people in this group and this sounds like a fun activity. And it's just too hot to walk at this time of year (or that's my excuse anyway).

MEETING PLACE
Sydney Harbour Kayaks at the base of The Spit Bridge in Mosman

Finding us from the city
It's simple, take the Mosman turn off and drive down Military Road until you reach The Spit Bridge.

Coming by Bus
Catch the bus from Wynard Station from Stand C. Click here to view Sydney Buses Timetable.

Parking
You can park for free during the week.

DESCRIPTION
We will be renting double kayaks for a two hour period and doing our own paddle tour of the area. We can try and stay in a group or people can venture out on their own. I will reserve 10 double kayaks but if you prefer a single kayak, please call the phone number and make a reservation. Double kayaks will allow us to accommodate more people to come along and also be easier for novice paddlers.

I am not that familiar with the area but we will inquire once there on recommended routes and places we should consider paddling. I do believe staying within Middle Harbour might be a better option as the water will be calmer.

COST
At $37 per person it’s the perfect way to discover parts of Sydney you will only ever see from the water.

All paddling equipment and life jacket are included in the tour cost.

BOOKING
There will be a group booking for 10 double kayaks. If you require a single kayak please ring the kayak company below.

If you did sign up for the eco-tour, then you have two options: either go on it (probably a good tour), or phone them and request a refund and then come with us. I think refunds are possible. Number to phone is (02 9960 4389). I was told this week there are no more spots on the eco tour, so this new option was our only option aside from canceling event.

Reminder that we will need to book this individually to do eco tour. Or we can rent the kayaks and just go out on our own? I will return to Australia on the 14th Jan so will call about openings for eco tour then. cheers Barbara
