Only three members interested apart from me, and chances are only 1.5 of them would attend, so I've cancelled it. Just pop along on your own, no worries. I'm going to cancel everything from now on that attracts less than 1% of the membership. If more than 500 people tell me they're not interested then neither am I. Would you be if you were in my position? My house parties are being advertised on five other sites and so they might be more popular than they appear. Ciao4now, Alan

Saturday 7th November, 8pm til 2am. Everyone welcome but my parties appeal mostly to people in the 30s plus age group. As for the music, played at a sensible level to allow for conversation, everything from Ella to Elvis, Andrew Sister to Scissor Sisters, Fats Waller to Fatboy Slim. $20 includes barbecue supper and soft drinks. Alcohol permitted in moderation. NO ILLEGAL DRUGS! No exceptions. The idea of Sydney Pulse parties is to provide a safe, friendly, non threatening environment for single people to mix and mingle and hopefully form meaningful friendships. http://sydneypulse.c om THERE IS NO NEED TO RSVP "NO" FOR THIS OR ANY OF OUR FUNCTIONS. LIKE, IF YOU DON'T TICK "YES" OR "MAYBE" IT'S A REASONABLE ASSUMPTION THAT YOU MEAN "NO" Ciao4now, Alan

Postponed. We'll do this another time. Ross has suggested this event and it sounds good to me. Abbotsford Rowing Club is easy to reach, just jump aboard one of those floaty things that cruise up and down the Parramatta River and wade ashore when you see a sign wot says "Abbotsford - no guns". 2pm is an arbitrary time, you can arrive earlier for lunch or later - up to you. The band Venus plays between 1pm and 6pm with breaks for provisions and for refueling (they're several light years from home).

Car pooling is recommended for this trip. Check the web site for more info http://tinyurl.com/n 5yrds We all know that Sydney is the most beautiful city in the world, but you might be amazed to discover the splendour to be found just to the south. For a relaxing yet stimulating weekend that you will never forget, hop into the car first thing on Saturday morning. Join the Princes Highway, and a few minutes after passing Waterfall, turn left on to Lawrence Hargrave Drive. Take it all the way to the junction with Otford Road, where instead of following the Drive around to the right, you turn left, stopping almost immediately at Bald Hill. It is here that your idyllic getaway really begins. Follow Lawrence Hargrave Drive on this map This lookout is both gorgeous and historic, as it was on the beach below in 1894 that aviation pioneer Lawrence Hargrave made his historic flight. Having savoured the view, go back the way you came, rejoining the Drive as it heads south along the coast. You will soon arrive at the spectacular Sea Cliff Bridge, which was completed in 2005. It is possible to park on the other side of the bridge, so continue to the end, leave the car and take a walk along this marvellous piece of architecture. The scenery is stunning...

Anyone else interested, purchase your own ticket ($65) and we'll meet afterwards for a beer, coffee or whatever. http://www.sydneyope rahouse.com/priority /fodireligionpoisons everything.aspx PS: Sunday at 8pm looks fun - Dangerous Fun!
