SynBioLA is a "Do-it-yourself" Biology (DIYBio) group dedicated to the field of Synthetic Biology. The purpose of the organization is to learn about this new exciting field through discussion, presentation and participation in team based project-oriented activities. It's our intention to create a 'viral' vehicle where individuals of all levels of experience in math, science & engineering are welcome to contribute to a novel approach to learning a field expected to have a significant impact in science and industry. Here, we work together to understand the 'practical' theory needed to build skills and techniques to form a solid foundation of knowledge.
