About Hack Upstate

Upstate New York companies Centerstate CEORoundedMadgloryDwolla, and Z80 Labs, in conjunction with New York City’s Rain, the Syracuse University iSchool, and Eric Mower + Associates have announced the first semiannual Hack Upstate hackathon. This is the first time the burgeoning Upstate tech community has combined their efforts to create an entirely new event. The organizers are anticipating between[masked] participants.

What makes Hack Upstate unique -- aside from being one of the largest hackathons in the country -- is the coalition it is creating among once independent Upstate tech communities.

The biannual event’s mission is to unite and facilitate collaboration among the greater Upstate New York technology community. In doing so, the partners aim to contribute to the growth of Upstate New York technology sector, and to create a robust network of technologists and regional technology companies.
