TCDG Members,

On Oct 15th the St Paul Parks and Rec Department needs a few helping hands at Highland Park for a couple of hours of getting rid of the invasive species Buckthorn (DNR Buckthorn Page).  It's prevalent at pretty-much every DG course in the metro, and it chokes out the native species that should be flourishing in this area.  We've been working very hard at getting this out of our parks the past few years, and your help in this park would be greatly appreciated.

If you're interested please follow the link listed below.

And if your super-duper interested please let me know and I can put you in touch with all the local groups I work with that strive to help our local ecosystem.

thanks,
Kinnell Tackett

Hello Volunteers,

At the request of some avid disc golfers, we have decided to schedule an impromptu Buckthorn Bust at the Highland Disc Golf Course. We are in search of 15-25 volunteers to help! If you are interested, the event details are listed below. It should be a fun event, especially if this weather keeps up!

Important Note Regarding Your Neighborhood Trees
Saint Paul has not received a significant rainfall since August 16.  With the lack of precipitation and low humidity trees and plants are showing signs of drought stress. Younger trees are especially vulnerable to dry conditions.

Please help water your boulevard and private property trees.  Water is cheap and essential for the health of your tree. Click on the link for tips and a video on how to water your trees.

Thanks!
