The Twin Cities Disc Golf Meetup Message Board General Discussion › Be courteous on the courses

Be courteous on the courses

Kinnell
Now that the warmth is nearly upon us I want to toss out a few early season wishes to everyone in the group here:

  • Please be courteous to others on the courses you play
  • Please pick up after yourself and don't litter
  • Please do not get verbally aggressive towards other players that may be playing slower or in your way for one reason or another
  • Offer advice or help if asked, and sometimes when not asked wink
  • Please have fun and keep a smile about yourself when you're out there representing both yourself and our DG community as a whole

I say this because I want you all to help represent our community in a good light, and not help spread stereotypes or bad images about us on these courses. The more enjoyable the public's experience is with us then the more freedom we will have to open courses and alter existing ones; remember that these are mostly public parks and not yours. Even leagues need to remember this rule, at times I think it slips their communal mind.

I'm sure we have all ran into people out there who have yelled or screamed at you for either playing to slow or letting a disc get a mind of its own, but I do not want any of us to be the source of hate like that. If you feel the need to be that person who wants to spread hate on the courses, and represent us in a bad light, then we do not want you in this group.

Also, get on over to your local shops to fill up on supplies
