JOEL GREY Live!!! at Cinefamily's CABARET 35mm Screening

For the 2013 TCM Festival, the opening night movie was CABARET that was introduced by Robert Osborne who interviewed Liza Minellli, But this Cinefamily's showing will be a rare opportunity to see actor JOEL GREY in person and hear him talk about his career, working with Liza Minelli and the making of the 1972 film CABARET.  Grey's career was launched with this legendary film, but he has also worked with some of the biggest names in both Hollywood and Broadway including Bob Fosse, Lars von Trier, Frank Perry, Robert Wilson, Robert Altman and Steven Soderbergh.

As of Weds., May 7 tickets were still available online for only $14 at the following weblink, but since the Cinefamily Theater is so small, I would venture to say they will be sold out well in advance of Friday. The ticket weblink is:

Parking: Street parking is available, but make sure to read all parking restriction signs so you do not get ticketed. Nearby pay parking is also available at private lots (near Fairfax High School and Canter's Deli down the street).

After the screening, those interested can stroll with Jono down Fairfax to Canter's Deli for coffee, pastry and conversation about the evening.

This was a last minute add on, so we only had a handful of members, but it was a great night. Joel Grey spoke in great detail about his movie and stage career for close to an hour and revealed a lot of interesting information--he was quite humorous and very much "on"

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
