Tennis is Rained Out Today

OK, the weatherman was right today.  It is pouring and the courts are drenched.

I hope everyone has a happy, healthy and safe New Years

Sorry, everyone. It is pouring on the courts. Tennis is cancelled for today.

Please don't get frustrated with my writing Ed. I've already been given a nice "Like" from another member and it's likely because my forms of communications are in fact crystal clear and positive - rather than injected with accusations such as what you've proposed - stating that I'm trying to break your record in not having enemies. My purpose for responding is clearly stated so if you would please kindly stop wasting my time with a bunch of nonsense - I'd truly appreciate it.

Hello Folks: Thank you Caryn for your reply. I understand. We all have bad days. My remarks may have seemed a bit harsh, I ment more to alert the group that a new member may get the wrong idea. maybe we can be a bit more freindship focus as well as tennis focus. None of the whining or arguments were focus at me, but I felt uncomfortable being amount it.
Please acept this as positive feedback and I will come back again. I was only exposed to a fraction of the group anyway. So let us be civil and move on.
Jon Scott, I do not understand most of your comments. Sorry.
I am still willing to be anyone's friend.I have not made an enemy in years,so you are not going to break my record,Mr Jon Scott. Have a nice New Year.
I was there to make friends ,so I guess I screw up too,as you said we all have bad days. I will keep my opions to myself next time.

Ed, I'm sorry about the bad experience. We are not usually a whiny or grouchy group. In fact, I look forward to playing on Sundays because I really love the people that come out. I guess we can all have a bad day.

Yeppers peppers plus - any of the most profound of whiners will surely compensate with tennis ball placements you'd expect delta state sleep to afford ya' ..
;-) Speaking of which, it's now 634AM & time for me to get back (attempt to) hopefully to one of those four states [Alpha - Beta - Theta - Delta] before today's practice drills with longtime super great practice parter & friend I met here @TCS! Thinking that Alpha is best chance I'll have left for this AM! I'd actually enjoy hearing about your journeys & experiences throughout being at and playing tennis at all those fantastic places abroad Ed! I bet you could even write a book about your experiences.. =)

Continued: to continue doing his best as if it never happened. In reality, I'm sure he forcefully will want to remember it simply to learn from mistake. However I'm convinced that it does very little at getting him down throughout the remaining game - as I'm sure he embraces the logic that nobody by far is perfect & the game isn't over until it's Miller Time.  Okay sorry for the long rant - just trying to liven things up some & offer a positive appreciation to your possibly quite valid comment.  At first sight, I wouldn't know from that day as I was too busy hobbling around like a run-over dog most the time - trying my best to play with a nagging sciatic nerve issue.  Okay enough finger pecking on the iPhone for now. Cheers to you & God Bless.

It was likely a full moon my brother.  Praise the Lord for now it's a new year & good time for everyone to show lots of love & respect for their fellow players regardless how good or bad they play. I don't know the stats on which pros have not smashed their rackets in front of thousands. A true smack in the face to the prestigious English-born game of first class etiquette.   What impresses me tremendously is to see a player maintain their composure and spirit of cheerful sportsmanship - namely, in the face of error, point challenge, or defeat whether impending or sudden. Those, are the people I strive to be like. It never fails to amaze me to see geniuses like Fed-ex err an easy put-away ball or the like, that any 3.0er could nail - but instead, this time he plants it right into the net  or ridiculously far out of bounds - thus defining the ultimate unforced error. The amazing part happens next. You'd swear he pushed the Men-in-Black button and wiped it right out of his mind -

Last Sunday was horrible. Winey ,growchy , people arguing about the score and disputing calls. A very unpleasant experience.

We had 23 players last week. That tied our record. Come on out and enjoy.
