Chateau St. Croix is only about an hour drive out of the metro, and over the boarder. Let's have a relaxing Sunday road trip, and enjoy the sights and some wine!

"We welcome you to explore the old-world charm of our winery in a half-hour tour. We will bring our guests through each stage of the wine-making process while viewing the production, shipping and cellar areas.

As a special privilege to our tour guests, from time to time we will offer samples of wine not available at our tasting bar. Each guest will also receive a souvenir Chateau wine glass." Let's plan to meetup between 1pm & 1:15, in the vicinity of where the tour starts or tickets are sold (I'll expect them to have a sign of some sort)Our tour will be at 1:30pm. Please reserve your spot by phone IN ADVANCE. (715) 483-2556. Individual tour only tickets are $6

After exploring the Chateau and tasting their wares, we can get a mid-day meal (and of course check out their unique wine offerings) in historic St. Croix, at Indian Creek Orchard, Winery & Grill
21+ only Carpooling is encouraged. If you'd like to offer a ride, please post it below, and you can all e-mail eachother well in advance of the event with the EMAIL links found on individual's profile. Please remember to offer to chip in on gas, if somebody gives you a ride. wink

It was nice to meet and talk with new fellow meetup group members.

I think the winery tour itself was o.k but I would not recommend an hour's drive to get there, not worth the trouble according to me.
Perhaps out of season but did not see a single grape or the manufacturing process or anything. Its more of a showcase and marketing for the venue as a wedding, reception type destination

The tour and winery was great and the weather was beautiful. My niece and I arrived at 1 PM and never did find the meetup group that was supposed to be there. We took the tour, had some wine and went to eat at the restaurant that was recommended in St. Croix Falls. Never found a group of people there either. Did anyone go? I'm glad that I didn't go by myself because I would have done this alone. Next time, maybe the organizer should have a sign or wear something that is noticable for people just joining the meetup group.

Did anyone want to meet at Wendy's, on the way to Wisconsin??
If not, we should all try to meet at the Chateau by about 1pm (so we have time to find eachother and chat before the tour & tasting starts).
