Visit the Shanties of Medicine Lake & CS Potluck

After a long year off, the Art Shanty project is bringing it's special brand of weird and wonder back to Medicine lake.

Let's make it a party!

The Dance shanty will have an event going on from 2p-3:30. That is always one of the more popular Shanties.

I think it's easier to visit the shanties as individuals (since most of them only hold a couple people at a time, and waiting for people can get cold), but we can discuss them (or not) at the potluck.

The Art shanty action is off of the East Medicine Lake beach, and the Shanty that I live in happens to be just off of the West Medicine Lake beach (on West Medicine Lk DRIVE), so we can meetup at my place for some hot chocolate, hot toddies, wine, jag shots, or whatever else could possibly be desired to warm our winter ravaged corpses.

This is an all weather, OUTDOOR exhibit, and there may be a considerable amount of walking involved. Be sure to be smart and bust out the good winter wear!

UPDATE: I'm combining this with the Monthly Couchsurfing Potluck ( Since my Shanty is pretty small (& almost a dozen Couchsurfers have already RSVPd) RSVPs are limited. Couchsurfing is a totally free travelers network, and open to all. You don't need to be a member to join us at this meetup (just letting ya know)! If you plan to hangout, bringing a Food or Beverage to share would be great!

There will probably have a bonfire after dark!

Feel free to call or txt with any questions (612)[masked]  (I will not be online again)

I wouldn't advise driving across the lake this year, but they already have a dozen or so art shanties pushed out there (over shallow water)!
