FREE Safe: Basic Firearm Safety & NYS Pistol Permit Course

This free course covers basic rifle, shotgun and handgun safety, range safety, home safety (including proper storage and use), firearm familiarity, functioning, operation, care and nomenclature; plus, what to do (and not do) in the event of a home intruder. 

The primary instructor will be Miguel Rivera, Jr. of Rivera/B.C.J.S. Investigations, an NRA certified instructor. 

Class certificate may be used for NYS and other state pistol permit course requirements.

Directions:

From the NYS Thruway, use exit 54 for NYS Route 400 South.  Travel on Route 400 for 5 miles and use the exit for Transit Road north (Route 20 East/Route 78 North).  Travel north on Transit Road for 0.4 miles (underneath the Route 400 overpass and the railroad overpass), and turn right onto Bullis Road.  Travel east on Bullis Road for 3 miles and turn left onto Bowen Road.  Travel north on Bowen Road for about 1 mile.  Immediately after passing the Elma United Methodist Church on the right, and just before the Elma Town Museum, turn right onto an unnamed roadway, and travel 800 feet to the Elma Senior Center.  The Elma Senior Center (3007 Bowen Road) is a large white building at the end of the roadway.
