Flags on the Bridge

On September 11th, the American flag is flown on the pedestrian bridge, which crosses over to Hoyt Lake at Delaware Park.

All citizens are invited to participate in the Remembrance of the fallen heroes and victims of 9/11.

First Responders are encouraged to stand with us on the bridge.

Please join us from 8:30 to 10:15 AM, as we stand in silence to remember on the 11th Anniversary of 9/11.

There was a decent size group. We stood with firefighters and other patriots. We kept to the flag symbol in honoring the message of the day, so we didn't hold up signs. I actually met a local Cheektowaga who is vocal at our town meetings. Good day.

Sign me up. I'll be there by 9:00 am. Just back from the 9/11 Memorial in NYC. Wow, what a tough time - brought tears. The Lake is near Buff Atate right?

I agree with Tori that all should be remembered as well as NO WAR on Syria. What do you think? I am responding to come if I am not working.

It would be nice to do something to honor the fallen in Benghazi, first anniversary when ambassador Stevens and others were brutally tortured, and murdered . Still no one has been held accountable, your thoughts ?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
