Welcome to AmBAR New York!

AmBAR (American Business Associations of Russian-Speaking Professionals) is a non-profit business association of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, engineers, lawyers and other professionals with headquarters in Silicon Valley and expanding now to NYC. Started as an organization of expatriates from Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries that are involved in technology businesses in the United States, AmBAR has grown into a large network in which innovators and entrepreneurs of all origins can exchange ideas and business contacts.

We proudly announce a grand opening of AmBAR NY and we will kick-start it with an update on the investment climate between the US and Russia.

Just recently AmBAR brought 20 managing partners from some of the leading Venture Capital firms in Silicon Valley to Moscow, Russia, where they had an opportunity to learn more about Russian businesses and Russian technology companies and where they had been introduced to the Russian market as a destination for potential investment.

AmBAR delegation had meetings with D. Medvedev ( President of Russian Federation) , A. Chubais ( CEO of RUSNANO), V. Vekselberg (Head of "Skolkovo" project), U. Milner ( Digital Sky Technology) and other leaders of Russian investment and entrepreneurship communities. Please check New York Times for trip details.

AmBAR panel offers you an opportunity to meet a group of some of the VC who participated in this trip and to learn their first hand impressions about the current investment climate. In addition, we'll discuss what special role can be played by the local American-Russian community.
