I have looked into urban harvest in the past and visited one of the gardens. What I've found Is that the gardens are pretty autonomous and they vary in their activity.

I think We can learn from what they are doing and try to apply some of the 'design for people'ideas in the communities and gardens where we think it would be beneficial. There is a lot of room for complementing efforts.

Also with respect to the idea about re-incarnating trash- love it! There's a start up in town called recyclebank.com which is an interesting approach to the problem.

Ah.. It's refreshing to have some resonance on these ideas - great group.

So talking about food....how about educating about 'food' and nutrition, preparing healthy meal and help create a healthy menu for given budget.
