TEDx Calgary Community Coffee Meetup

Come have a coffee and share in conversation with others who are interested in TED and TEDx talks.

Remembrance Day is approaching, and so we thought it would be fitting to discuss and reflect on the topic of war.

TED has curated a series of several talks from thoughtful men and women on this topic. These talks will be used as a starting point for our discussion (watch as many or few as you are able) and can be found at the following link:

http://www.ted.com/playlists/69/war_stories.html

We will meet at Gravity Expresso and Wine Bar -[masked] Street SE, at 7 pm.

Please only RSVP if you are definitely planning to attend.

Very much enjoyed listening to the discussions and meeting interesting people (even hmm, despite the comments on Pinochet...) I see that the Animation Film Festival is coming to Calgary and that one of the film is by the director Ari Folman who made "The Waltz of Bashir" which is very pertinent to the subject of war, perhaps peace or...personal peace. I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it. (though this new film is completely unrelated, I'm sure it will be worthwhile to those interested...)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
