FOR THOSE ASKING REGARDING THE WEATHER:
For those asking about the weather: The theater production team will make a cancellation decision by 11am. Once I find out, I will post on here, on our mailing list, and via Facebook with the update.
Additionally, the weather report is stating that IF it rains, it will start well after the show is over.
This summer there is a several performance run of Midsummer Night's Dream in central park that is entirely free. And unlike Shakespeare in the Park, this requires no tickets or lines!
As an added tie-in, the role of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons is played by our own Cassandra Johnstone!
The performance takes place in an open picnic area, so bring your blankets, picnic basket and other sundries.
Lawn chairs are also allowed. Just don't be like the couple on Portlandia ;)
I will be posting a second event soon for a group dinner after the show in the nearbye area.
Walk into the park at 69th and central park west
take the FIRST LEFT you can on to a little path. Walk in and the production is on the right.
or walk in at w 72nd, turn right right away and walk the little covered bridge, keep going and they are in a little glade under some trees.
It is STRONGLY ADVISABLE to enter the park from either of those locations. It is difficult to find the performance area if you are traveling through the park from a different section.
