Let me get back to you on this one.
I'm proud to say that I am among the first generation of readers. I picked up the book the first week it was out when I was just 14 years old because I had heard the concept of the book from a friend and thought it sounded like it could be really good. Since that first week I have been hooked on was is truly a great story.
Goblet of Fire definitely stood out to me because its the first time that you really get a scope of the real wizarding community. Our eyes are finally opened to 'Hey, it's not just England!' lol. And the pure action and adventure in this story make it one of the best. The Deathly Hallows also stood out as it brilliantly pulled everything together. In the grand scheme of things, things we havent thought about since Book 1 or 2 finally make sense. The sense of seeing the students and adults alike stand up for themselves for the right to survive and defeat Voldemort's new rigime was stunning. to know that the characters have come that far since the beginning. I could go on and on about why all the books are great. ha!
I dont have 1 favorite. But one character I love is Neville Longbottom. Just watching his character evolve throughout the series was amazing. Seeing him go from a shy, somewhat pethetic wizard to a strong, confident one and finding his own was amazing. There are others I may add later :p
