  • This location is shown only to members

Have you tried Acupuncture before ? Don't know enough about it? Afraid of needles? Did you know there is needleless Acupuncture?

In this introduction to Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, you will be given the opportunity to have your questions answered. You will learn the basics about this traditional therapy that has been around for five thousand plus years. It hasn't been around that long for no reason. ;-) You will also learn the origins of Acupuncture, the different styles used today and how it's helped people to achieve and maintain optimal health.
The practice in Chinese Medicine also includes: cupping, twina, Qi Gong, use of moxa (Chinese herb) and auricular (ear) acupuncture with seeds (mustard seeds) which participants may volunteer to experience.

According to the NIH, Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can help with an array of ailments such as: emotional distress, back and neck pain, headaches, chronic fatigue, depression, detoxing, insomnia, weight loss, smoking cessation, sports injuries, endocrine imbalance and autoimmune disorders like: Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, allergies, and the list goes on...

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine when combined with other healing methods, can enhance or accelerate the healing process. Western medicine is now more commonly embracing an integration of both.

This lecture will be lead by Karin Johnson, NJ licensed Acupuncturist and Dipl. Ac, RN, BSN and owner of Acusource Healing LLC. (Medical Spa).
There will be approx. 30min.-40min. lecture, followed by a demonstration and testimonials from one or two of her clients. There will be time for any questions you may have.
Participants my volunteer to experience auricular (ear) acupuncture with seeds.
Light refreshments will be served.

Cost: $10.00 per person

Event: approx. 1 1/2 hrs.

Venue: Acusource Healing LLC., is a Medical Spa that uses cutting edge technologies tailored to individual needs which include: acupuncture, needleless acupuncture, CranioSacral therapy, raindrop technique, FIR sauna, Ionic foot detox, facial rejuvenation and Thai Yoga Technique.

I really enjoyed meeting everyone and thank you to Melanie and Karin for such a wonderful event. I am thrilled to report the needleless accupuncture I received from Karin eliminated the high level of anxiety I have experienced recently. The past two nights I have slept deeper then I have any other night in the past few months. Much gratitude to you Karin! I look forward to seeing everyone at an upcoming event.

A fantastic event, much more than I expected, and far more than a basic "what is acupuncture?" talk. Karin discussed not only acupuncture but a number of other treatments she utilizes with her patients as well. Also, the vital issue of detoxification was addressed a little as well. (A personal favorite!) If you have been dealing with a chronic health issue which refuses to stop and are fed-up with the disease-management model of typical western medicine her approach is a must-try! The hospitality and essential oil were an added bonus. I'm giving five stars only because I can't give more! Thanks a bunch to Karin and Melanie for hosting.
