Echo all the previous comments. Weather always helps but a great day, good weather, good company ... and no car clamps at the end which is always a bonus :)

Thank you to Richard and Joanne for organising the walk and thanks to you all for your company on the walk and at the pub. Especially Sean who had to put up with me getting excited about S curves. I've posted my photos from the walk on a page on my website, the group shot is posted larger. I enjoy the details that you can't see so well at websize, there is a Carlsberg can in the Landrover, it seems to have failed to refresh the parts (OBCR). There is a stork in the shot of the house between the trees. No kit-kats though. Link is here:

Thanks to everyone who came along, a very nice group, and a good attendance. Hope to see some of you at the other events on the group calendar, and I look forward to seeing more photos posted here when people have the chance to do so.

It was nice meeting everybody..not often do we have that many photographers at the same time ! The weather was really nice too (hence the reason I did not go to the pub after..I had to make the most of it and go ride my horse !!)

Nice walk, great company and the added bonus of having a lovely sunny day for a change. Enjoyed my first walk with the group and looking forward to many more.

Ok to bring the dog? Seems a shame to leave him behind without a walk and he is quite photogenic

Can't see any problems in doing so- from memory there are no awkward stiles or anything like that on the route and dogs are allowed in Lyme Park, though have to be on a lead in certain areas- they are not allowed in the house and gardens but those are the bits you have to pay to get in, which we shall not be doing

Looks like I joined up just in time for this walk. Looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow and keeping my fingers crossed that the rain and hailstones that passed over here today don't return tomorrow.

Morning Richard. Do you know if the parking on the station approach road is pay & display or free of charge?

    March 24, 2014

    • Richard

Free, purportedly for rail users, but I have never known anyone check up.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
